Public Hearing Notice Notice is hereby given that the City of Menan City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 7:00 PM, in the Menan City Hall. The purpose of this hearing is to discuss Ordinance No. 2024-2, an ordinance of the City of Menan regarding the use of shipping containers within city limits. Ordinance No. 2024-2 proposes to repeal the restriction of shipping containers and amend the land-use table to include shipping containers as an allowed use in all zones, subject to building codes. Additionally, the ordinance aims to provide regulations for the use of shipping containers as accessory buildings and as buildings or building components subject to building codes and permitting procedures. All interested parties are encouraged to attend this public hearing to express their views and provide input on the proposed ordinance. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the following: ORDINANCE NO. 2024-3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 OF THE MENAN CITY CODE TO REQUIRE PROPERTY LINE AND BUILDING LOCATION CERTIFICATION AS PART OF THE BUILDING PERMIT PROCESS. The purpose of the ordinance is as follows: This ordinance is established to enhance the building permit process within the City of Menan, Idaho, by incorporating requirements to ensure accurate property lines, proper site development, and compliance with the Menan City Development Code before the issuance of building permits.
